Signs a sash cord needs attention

A sash that drops suddenly, sits unevenly, feels unusually heavy or no longer moves correctly may have a broken or worn cord. The weights, pulleys and cord arrangement should be checked as part of the repair.

Re-cording traditional sash windows

The sash is opened up as required, failed cord is removed and replacement cord is fitted. We check movement and balance before the window is put back into service.
